It's an exciting time for students, teachers, staff & parents. I understand all of the emotions involved, especially now that I'm on "the other side." My little guy will be starting Kindergarten on Tuesday & my heart is so happy! He'll be attending the grade school I went to for nine years and worked at for seven. The community is truly something special! When I was approached to be a "table designer" for the staff back to school luncheon, I jumped at the chance to get involved. It certainly sounded like a "job" that would be right up my alley. A group of moms volunteered to each design a table with a theme & provide special goodies for teachers & staff. I decided to go with a "Happy New Year" theme, incorporating my favorite color combo {black & white}, including the best celebration essentials... sparkle, confetti, poppers & bubbly!
Each teacher/staff member received a bottle of prosecco, frame, cookie & popper.
The inexpensive black frames from Michael's were glammed up with a little sparkle. You can also spot one of my petite mason candy jars I created for the special lunch.
Mom's cookies were a welcome treat as many know of "Suzanne's shortbreads."
I added a little decor to the packaging because I just don't know how to stop! :)
Poppers found on clearance at Pier One! I replaced the "Cheers to 2014" sticker with my own.
A bag for their goodies...
Score! I found this fabulous metal apple shelf last minute (in off white so I spray painted it black) at Home Goods.
CHEERS to a fabulous new school year!!
This is so pretty! What a great idea, I pinned it of course- NICE WORK, ANG!!
