Snuggable Sweetness x2!

When you see these boys, your heart will melt. Mine certainly did! I styled these two miracles for their very first photo session. What a privilege it was to work with their amazing mother, who I just adore. I am so grateful we have reconnected. Nearly a decade ago we met through my husbands brother. Gods plan took us on different paths and years later, here we are. I can't be more thankful for the time I have been able to spend with her and these sweet babies... oh and her awesome extended family too! They were all in a recent post. :-)  I feel grateful to have reconnected with such a wonderful person, friend and mother.
I am beyond thrilled she is experiencing this wonderful joy called motherhood.
Looking forward to watching baby {C} and Baby {A} grow!

Sunday Fave!

Here it is, my favorite styled snapshot of the week! I was JUST turned on to this awesome photographer this week by a friend, who's friend in CA used this photographer. I am in love with this image of this little girl with a fun flower headband that enhance her big brown eyes. The bright yellow in her sweet plaid shirt is picked up by that awesome velvet chair.
This image is totally eye-catching... such great textures too!!
DARN... I don't like it when I can't post pics directly from photographers blogs I so want to give you that visual NOW! I guess some photographers don't like others to copy and paste their photos, which is totally understandable. But, I promise, you won't want to miss this. Click on the link to see the sweetness!

Three Generations

Yesterday was a first for me... EEEK! I was the one behind the camera, taking photos of a family I helped style! I must say, I was on a complete high after this session. I got in my car and was chomping at the bit to view my MANY images. This family was so laid back, new what they wanted and had total confidence in me... which totally put me at ease. I don't call myself a "professional" .... I am still learning each time I pick up my camera to shoot in different lighting and locations with my son or other family members. I was more than happy to take these photos, not only to capture this precious time their family would all be together for Thanksgiving, but to in turn, get some great practice with people other than my own family!

My time with these beautiful people... and when I say beautiful, I mean inside and out, was wonderful. It went by way too quickly and if the darn moon hadn't started to peek through the clouds, I would have had my camera out a lot longer! I was able to capture seriously, GORGEOUS smiles of three generations. It's crazy how paths cross and wow, am I glad ours did... again!

I was contacted to help style the tiniest of this clan for their newborn session as well as this BIG family session. I came up with some specific options for all the kiddos and gave the adults some suggestions to think about as well. They went for the blues and grays and boy did it photograph well! They really pulled together such GREAT outfits, it made me giddy, seeing them all together. :-)

I think you'll see exactly why I loved this session. This family couldn't look any more like family, right?
Here's a peek of my time with the ever so fun-loving and stylish, {T and S Families}!
Love you guys!

See, they just can't get ANY cuter!

Classy & Cute!

I recently went to the home of this adorable family for an in-home styling consultation. We pulled clothing from each closet and styled away giving mommy, her hubby and sweet daughter two fantastic looks, including shoes and accessories! Black and white are always a great classic combo if done properly with layers and pops of color... like red! I loved my time with this Super Mom!
Seriously, how gorgeous are they?! Photos by Kathryn Crouse Photogrpahy.

Thanks again, S family, for letting me into your closets to find the perfect cohesive ensembles for your session! You all look GREAT!

True Beauty!

When I first saw this post on Facebook, I knew it would be hard to top as my pick for favorite image of the week. Here's a truly exquisite photo! I just love the wrap she's swaddled in... doesn't it make her eyes POP?! The sweet headband with flower is simple yet stunning! Allison Anne Johnson did an amazing job of capturing the pure beauty of this gorgeous 2 month old. Guess what? I went to grade school and high school with this talented photographer AND the mommy of this precious bundle. :-)

Sunday Styled Session #1

Every Sunday I will be posting my favorite styled photograph of the week. I follow numerous photography blogs and Facebook pages and am always looking for photographs with that extra special something! This could be as simple as an accessory, to an overall great color scheme. Tonight my favorite styled photo SCREAMS FALL! Seriously, it doesn't get more "fall" than this. The vests, boots, huge leaves... makes me wish I lived in a climate that offered such surroundings. I was introduced to this photographer last week as I helped an old high school friend style her family of six! I am very eager to post pics of her adorable family soon, but for now... just look at this!!!! Loving the beautiful work of Brenda Bisharat!

Fashion Week 2010!

No, no it's not NYC, BUT this could be the closest I ever get to the real deal! It was Scottsdale Fashion Week this past weekend and I was fortunate enough to be invited to attend this year. Thanks to an old friend that works in PR, who knew this fashion loving girl (who just started her own business in styling) would LOVE to go. The first night we saw truly unforgettable gorgeous gowns from Kevan Hall and lovely spring looks from Luca Luca, to name a few. Night two featured Carolina Herrera, Tory Burch, Ted Baker and Betsey Johnson. Here's a look at some A-MA-ZING fashion!!!
My absolute favorite of the weekend... Luca Luca Spring 2011

Stylin' Trick-or-Treaters!

Coming up with a costume that's unique, fun, will be kept ON by the little ones, etc. can be quite difficult. There wasn't anything that Jake was asking to "be" and I knew exactly what would work... and to make it even better his best buddy, Max, would be a COWBOY too! I bought Jake and Max cowboy hats last year and Jake LOVES wearing it... so I knew this costume would be a hit. Jake was in need of some new (bigger) boots anyway, so while at Saba's getting those, I picked up a belt with silver horse buckle, found the riding horse at Toys R Us, and finally... the best part... the vest! These vests were made with love by my friend Cedar of Ella-o-v-e. I found the darling fabrics (and fringe) at JoAnn's to make them reversible. She did a GREAT job!

Here are the cowboys all decked out at MacDonald's Ranch for a little photo session. My best friend Natalie and I were in HEAVEN with this place and all it had to offer to keep our boys entertained while we snapped away, capturing them in their costumes. The lighting.... simply beautiful and probably a "professional" photographers dream!
My sweet cowboy...

Li'l partner, Max...

See that adorable fabric... reversible!
