Talk about Original! Favorite Accessories of the Week...

It's not a big surprise that Gracylu Originals has nearly 11,000 Facebook followers. I have been admiring the work of Tristian Skidmore for several months and SO wish I had a little girl to accessorize! I am hoping to one day purchase a "GLO" of my own :-)! Her absolutely GORGEOUS and STUNNING accessories include headbands and hats adorned in feathers, sparkles, buttons, ribbons and beautiful fabrics. They are head turners, for sure!
I would LOVE to style clients in these amazing pieces of art.

Tristian adds new inventory to her cart every couple weeks and tomorrow she is opening a cart at 12pm CST and another tomorrow night at 9pm CST, featuring the 2011 Spring Line as well as two newborn headpieces and get this... "Gracylu's Surprise," where you choose a door on her blog and what's behind it is a surprise until it shows up at your door, how fun is that?!

Here are links to the shopping carts:

When I read Tristan's blog and fb posts, peek at the comments her fans make and see all of the beautiful work she creates, a few words come to mind about this artistic woman. I gather she is a very faithful woman who is compassionate, talented and true to herself and others. There are several designers out there that have really caught my attention because of the beauty they create in photography  or  in their design of  beautiful clothing and accessories as well as the way they conduct business and Tristian is one of the top on my list.  It's apparent, she is  respected by many followers, clients and friends. I think it's pretty safe to say she too is an "original"... one of a kind.

Tristan, thank you for creating such beauty!

Switching it Up! Favorite accessory of the week..

So, many of you know I have been posting my favorite styled images or sessions from talented photographers across the country each week. I have decided to switch it up by posting some of my favorite accessories, clothing or inspiration items for photo sessions as well. Many of the items would obviously not only be for photo sessions, but in daily life :-)!

My fabulous find at Frances Vintage Boutique in Phoenix last fall has become one of my favorite accessories and would look fantastic in photos. Young girls AND women can wear the darling styles of Vintage Rose Wraps. The fabric colors and patterns are fun and feminine. Whether you have short hair or long hair... they look awesome! I have several and have given a few as gifts and recommended them to clients for photo sessions. You can't go wrong with all of the color options! They are wonderful for keeping hair back for a workout... looking cute at the gym,  running errands, shopping or lunch with friends and even on date night. They would certainly add that extra something special to a photo session with your favorite photographer too. Tie it around the head of any age gal!

Here they are...you're going to love these!

Cute & Quirky Tee - Favorite Styled Snaphots of the Week

I have been following the beautiful work of  Laura Winslow Photography since finding her through The TomKat Studio blog, last summer! Her gorgeous photos would frequently be posted from shoots she had done with TomKat Studio. Not only does she offer spectacular commercial images, but to die for maternity, newborn, child and family portraiture. This local talented woman has nearly 5,000 followers on fb!!!

I couldn't wait to show you this commercial session she did for 2MYLU Designs (cute name, or what?). These adorable, unique tee's totally caught my eye as I am constantly looking for FUN boy clothes for my little man and other little guys that may want styling for a future photo session. The messages are cute, quirky and so completely unique AND they are on the front and back of the tee's!
I just love the fun LWP had with the bow tie, sweater and hat...
now that's style.
This tee is perfect for Valentine's Day... such a fun message... "Love Train.... On Board!"

You have to see more photos from the session here...

*SPICE* it up!

So I have been thinking I need to post more about fashion on my blog. After all, I wouldn't be styling people if it weren't for my passion for fashion! I am starting now, with some of my favorite RED transitional pieces that can certainly take you from winter into spring. RED is this month's color with Valentine's Day and Heart Disease Awareness.  It's a color every woman can and should wear every now and then. If you don't "do" red, it just might be the time to step out of your comfort zone and put a little *spice* into your wardrobe!

NY Collection $40
Simple and very inexpensive... dress it up with black or nude heels and a statement necklace or dress down with ballet flats and a pony tail.

Cycle Skinny Red Pant $128
Hot, Hot, Hot! Pair with nude sequin top and heels seen here with a single strand simple necklace or gold cuff bracelet.

Top Shop Red Short $70
These shorts won't be for everyone but are such a great, fun alternative to a skirt. Pair with a simple black top a chunky necklace and black heels.

Stella McCartney Red Blazer $490
Ok, so it's kinda splurgey...but I LOVE this blazer! Ahhh, with dark denim skinny jeans and heels... so classic.

Milly Enamel Bracelet $95
Gold is still rockin' in my book, or should I say on my blog! This is such a gorgeous piece and great on it's own. Statement piece for sure.

Tory Classic Mini Bag $265
Who doesn't love a Tory bag? This mini is the perfect size and can be worn with or without the strap. Really liking the red tone of this one!

Red and black, red with denim, red and nude (ON TREND) or red and navy (nautical trend)... you can't go wrong. Great for winter and into spring!
Happy Valentine's Day!
XOXO

Insipired! Favorite Styled *Session* of the Week...

I am completely inspired by today's favorite session photographer. I stumbled across her work as I was looking at some fabulously stylish hair pieces from Gracylu Originals. I just love the name of her photog business and was in awe of the talent she shares with so many people, on the other side of the country.

In reading this photographer's blog, I found myself teary-eyed, reading her last post. This incredible woman has certainly overcome a lot in her life. Her love for children is not only present in her work, but through her selfless act of kindness and generosity, starting with this last session. She is giving 100% of this little girl's session fee to Baby Watoto, an orphanage in Uganda. Please, you have to read more on her blog and take a look at this absolute doll she photographed. Serious, serious style going on...THE most stylish little girl I have ever seen!

Beautiful work by CoCo Bleu Photography

A quote from her blog about how she came up with the name, CoCo Bleu Photography...

This PHOTOGRAPHER and this SESSION are just that -
CLASSY & FABULOUS!
